He's 19, and does not receive any financial help from his parents. What does he need to do? His job doesn't offer benefits, and he's looking for a good job but nothing pays very well either. And in the middle of all of this he wants to go back to school (school doesn't offer anything either)
What should my friend do if he has no health or dental insurance and can't afford it?
I was in the same situation when I was in college. I needed some major dentistry work done. I researched around and found this website
www.healthsavings.ourperfectcard.com
I signed up online about 3 years ago, and they have saved me thousands of dollars throughout the years. No claims, contracts or deductibles. Its extremely affordable. All services are included...exams, fillings, root canals etc.
Good Luck and Hope this Helps.

Reply:don't get sick and stay away from sugar, buddy
Reply:there is nothing that he can do that is sad, he could maybe go to a free clinic at a uni or something like that?
Reply:A local health department is very affordable heath care. Where I live they have dental clinics that cover anyone up to the age of 20 I think, they give free cleanings and affordable procedures. You might look into finding one of those.
If none of that works, a lot of churches will help you pay for it.
Reply:Call the local Board of Health/Health Department. All states have government funded clinics for low income residents. Contact your local dental society to get the names of dentists that provide low income or sliding scale services. Contact a local dental school, if applicable. If you don't know where the dental society is, type the name of your state and the word dental society in the search engine.
