Canada's universal healthcare does not cover dental work. Canadians pay for dental work or use work/private insurance.
Dental work is part of universal healthcare in most of Western Europe and Cuba.
Canadians-does your universal health care coverage include free dental too-or how does that work in Canada?
No, not dental. You will need to pay out of pocket - most work place today offer insurance coverage for their employees at no or minimal cost.
Same goes for chiropractors, massage, podiatry, physio etc..
Can you imagine? If they include all that, we taxpayers in Canada will be paying through our nose. It is already very high and it is because of all this medicare.
Some places like Alberta is seriously considering watering down the universal medicare with private medical. It is a political hot potato right now.
Reply:No Universal health care does not cover dental with the exception of in patient dental treatment. IE if you are in the hospital and need dental treatment to to accident, infection or other health risk, that will be covered.
dental care is either covered by supplemental insurance or out of pocket.
Reply:Only if you haven't got a job, then welfare pays for it!
