Has anyone who drinks tea reguarly, found the health benefits to be true?

I mean, they say drinking tea in general reguarly, helps prevent cancer (many different types), helps with dental health, helps aid in weight loss, etc...

Has anyone who drinks tea reguarly, found the health benefits to be true?
I regularly drink green tea, white tea and red tea. While none of us may never know if we avoided certain diseases by drinking tea, it certainly couldn't hurt. One thing is certain ... tea is natural and healthy ... soft drinks are caustic and poisonous.

I also eat well and exercise three times per week. So, the teas I drink are simply part of a healthy lifestyle.

Good luck!
Reply:yes, it has helped my liver and i feel overall better (its better than coffee thats for sure).
Reply:weight isn't changing, teeth hurt (from cracked tooth), still don't have cancer, but didn't have it before tea either.... so, I don't know how conclusive it really is. But tea gives me caffeine and tastes good.
Reply:I drink lots of diet green tea and have found no benefits at all, except I like the taste.
Reply:prehaps you are right, as it helps with dental healh
Reply:I have jasmine green tea everyday after lunch, helps digest food and maintain your weight if not put on....
Reply:i know it does act as a diuretic, which will help get rid of excess water, and will help you lose weight.

I have been drinking the Wu Long Tea, which says it will help your body block carbs from being absorbed, and i have noticed that i lose more weight while exercising than when i don't drink it.

As for cancer i can only hope, because i always drank alot of tea, and about teeth i just know it stains your teeth worse than coffee, so make sure you brush.
Reply:Well the effects of what your saying isn't found in regular tea but only in green tea.

I began taking a green tea supplement pill about a year ago and since then I've stopped. I noticed when I was taking it that I was more aware of what was going on around me and my reaction time was better. I was more focused in what I did and my health improved ever so slightly.

No miracle though.
Reply:There is something (some kind of chemical) in tea that actually helps your breathing. It is good for asthmatics and anyone else who has a breathing problem. Opens up the aveola and such.

I swear by it on days when the air is not good and I get a glass of iced tea and it does wonders.

Hot tea is good for sore throats (honey and lemon if desired) and colds.
