Dental insurance that cover braces?

Does anyone knows of a dental (or health) insurace that cover braces. I'm 21, female. Thanks!

You will need to call around to find coverage. However, be prepared that you will not get back what you put into the policy!! A policy will only cover about $1,000 of the total costs. The average cost of braces is about $4,000.





For the priviledge of that $1,000, you will likely not get a policy for under $100. If you do, they will DEFINITELY raise your rates the next year to compensate what they pay out.





Insurance companies are in business to make money; they aren't necessarily interested in covering medical expenses!!





Have you tried a dental school? Most will take insurance plans, and the cost for braces will be about 1/2 of what is charged in private practice. My kids braces will be between $1,800 - $2,100. At that price, insurance can be optional.
