Help with Health Cost Via Tax Credits???

When I called HM Revenue to find out about NHS Exemption Card this afternoon, they said that although I receive Child Tax Credit,I'm not entitled to any help with heath cost 'caz I've been on income support since last week. But I heard that people on income supoort can get free NHS health%26amp;dental treatment. So what's the defference between these services?I've got an appointment with the dentist next week and need to know if I really need to pay for that without any help.

Help with Health Cost Via Tax Credits???
Hi hope this helps you won't get a certificate through tax credits because you are automatically entitled to recieve free NHS treatment as you recieve income support, when you go to the dentist tell them you recieve income support and take your letter of award for your income support with you this should be enough but phone the surgery first to double check some receptionist
Reply:I get Tax Credits and they issued me with a card that shows entitlement to help with health costs. If you are on IS then you show your entitlement letter I think. I would call your local DWP office and speak to whoever deals with your IS about it.
Reply:I received a tax excempt card when a single parent, and on income support,

Im in Wales now and all perscriptions etc is now free.

Try looking on the website http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/MoneyTaxAndB...
