My father is 76 years old. He can not enjoy his food to the fullest effect becaus he has no teeth. My father loves to cook and eat. My father claims that he was on Medicare part b, but they were billing him to high and deducting to much from his social security. Sometimes its confusing talking to him, because of no teeth. I looking for cheap dentures, or where can I go to buy inexpensive dentures for my father. Thank you for all your help ;).

Reply:Cheap dentures won't help him at all because they will probably hurt him. My grandmother, who is 74, got cheap dentures because she didn't want to spend the money and ended up having more problem than when she had no teeth at all. Her gums hurt when she has them on and she almost never wears them. If you have the money, invest in a good set of dentures becuase there is no messing with this kind of thing.
Reply:Are you close to Mexico? If so, items there are cheap. Get a prescription (if one is needed for dentures) and go there and get some. If not, consider going to Mexico for a brief trip. It's worth it for some things that are more expensive in the U.S. I used to live on the AZ/Mexico border and saw how cheap things were in Mexico. But if you need a prescription for this, be sure to have one as you can't get things nowadays w/o one. Good luck!
Reply:wow i didnt relize you could get a prescription for these things, i thought they were fitted for you and the only way to get them is countless visits to your dentist, i guess i learn something new everyday i know i didnt answer your question, sorry hope things work out for your dad
Reply:Unfortunately dentures are a long, painful, and slightly expensive ordeal. First try looking for a community dental clinic if available in your area and find out if they provide that type of service. It will be way cheaper, and since you dad is on Medicare, I'm gonna guess he might qualify for that sort of thing. Medicare might not fully cover it, but it'll cost less compared to private clinics.
Hope this helps.
